The Nature Save Trust has announced that they are now providing start up 'seed corn' grants for community renewable energy projects. The Trust recognises that many lenders and investors may be reluctant to put money into a project at an early stage as it may or may not get past the planning stage.

Cash for wave and tidal
The Technology Strategy Board has announced a £12 million investment to help develop the wave and tidal technologies of the future, and is inviting innovative businesses to apply through two new collaborative R&D competitions. The first call will open on the 8th March and close on the 29th April, with a total investment of £9 million.

Domestic micro-generation consultation
The Scottish Government has opened a consultation on extending permitted development rights for domestic micro-generation, specifically micro-wind turbines and air source heat pumps. The deadline for responses is 30 April 2010.

E.On , the power and gas generating and distributing company, has announced that the next application deadline for its Sustainable Energy Fund is 2 April 2010.
