The Sustainable Development Commission published their report 'Breakthroughs for the 21st Century' at an event in London attended by HRH The Prince of Wales on 1 July 2009.
The report draws from almost 300 ideas that were submitted by the public, businesses, academics, and sustainability professionals. Of these 10 were selected by the SDC Commissioners as potential breakthroughs that could make the biggest impact on Britain’s efforts to tackle climate change, resource depletion and inequality. Some are fairly mainstream and relatively easy to envision, others will require more imagination and ambition to achieve. More on the Sustainable Development Commission website. Have a look at the report itself - Breakthroughs for the 21st century
