£5,000 household energy bills by 2020 Print E-mail
Tuesday, 23 June 2009
draughtproofing.jpgThe consumer website uSwitch.com is reporting that their research shows that household energy bills could rise to £5,000 a year by 2020.  Last summer everyone was very aware of increasing prices, the global recssion and falling energy prices seems to have allowed this dramatic reality to fall in to the background.

£5,000 a year is nearly £4,000 a year more than teh average bill just now, and that will change what we have to spend on other areas, possibly even affecting how quickly we can recover from this recession.  It's not a good picture, but you can do things now to reduce the impact on your family.  The Home Energy Check on the Energy Savings Trust website is a good place to start - take a look today.
