Welcome to sustainablescotland.com, brought to you by Forward Scotland. You can access this page anytime in the future by clicking the help button on the left hand menu called 'Quick Menu'. sustainablescotland.com has the following features:
Make the Text Bigger or Smaller Near the top of every screen in the grey bar, you'll see a small A and a large A. These symbols allow you to make the website text larger or smaller. Headlines sustainablescotland.com's home page has a revolving news headline - with up to 10 stories - allowing you to see the most recent news additions to the website without having to search. Print, PDF and E-mail Articles At the top of every article (story) selected, you will find 3 icons in the top right hand area. These icons allow you to: Print the article; Create a PDF of the article; and e-mail the article to either yourself or someone else. Community Webnet Pages The Community Webnet was a popular resource that allowed communities in Scotland to get their projects noticed on the internet. We've built on that success and are delighted to offer an even easier way for groups to promote themselves. Tag Cloud The Tag cloud shows you words that have been used to describe articles and stories on the website. The bigger the word - the more often it has been used throughout. Click on one of the words to get a list of all the articles relevant to that word. Project Directory Use our project directory to quickly search the site for Community Webnet pages or Case Studies across a range of over 400 projects. Links Directory Our links directory provides community and business links out to organisations websites that we think will interest you. Depending on what section you are in, the links directory will offer you target links. The Library Our new online library contains all of our publications that either we have researched and produced, or ones that we have been involved in. The library is divided into categories - but you can also search the entire library with the search button. The library also contains a section with links to other websites that you might find of interest. Events Calendar Our new events calendar has many interesting events which you can search through easily by keyword, or by browsing through categories, or months, or days. You can also add an event. Stay Up to Date with RSS Feeds and the Bulletin You can easily stay up to date with new articles and stories on our website. RSS makes it possible for you to keep up with our web site in an automated manner that's easier than checking it manually. If you use Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (and many other popular browsers) you probably have an RSS feeder built in already. If you don't have one of these browsers, view the BBC website information on RSS feeds for a list of recommended RSS readers. Whenever you see the orange RSS button on our site - click it and then you're done - it's simple, it's easy, and you don't need to provide any personal details - not even your e-mail address. And, if you would like our popular monthly bulletin, then you will find a link on the bulletin page (next to the tag cloud). Contact us We do hope that you enjoy the new look and feel to the website. During the first month we do expect some teething problems. We are sorting these as quickly as we can. However, if you wish to let us know about something, or if you need any help or assistance with the website, please do get in contact - you can find our details in the contact section, where you will also find a contact form. |
