greenfashion2.jpgFashion is often blamed for several ethical and environmental impacts of throwaway clothes, culture and obsession with latest trends. chicken.jpgJonathan Safran Foer's 2009 book Eating Animals could and should put you off factory-farmed meat for life. Interweaving memoir, history, science and philosophy Foer avoids lecturing and surprises with stories of the extent of his research. Many of the facts revealed are simply repulsive. One wonders how many of us already know at least some of this but choose to push it out of mind. The following brief description is of chicken factory-farming in the US but the issues relate to the farming of pigs, cattle, other poultry and fish world-wide. For specific information about the UK contact viva.
