In encouraging community participation and involvement in the development of Northbay area on the Island of Barra and the surrounding this township. To promote, develop, encourage community involvement through the development of facilities for recreation development and social inclusion for all ages, race and denomination. Road Safety & Travel Management in Kirkmuirhill Town/City: South Lanarkshire Description: Local people were voicing concerns about the speed and volume of traffic on this stretch of road at Kirkmuirhill. Damage to the pathways was being caused by heavy goods vehicles travelling at speed. Traffic calming measures which included chicanes and islands were built to slow the traffic. MiniWeb: MiniWeb |
