The Peace of Mind Community Garden Organisation: The Peace of Mind Community Garden Town/City: Stirling Postcode: FK8 2DX Description: The idea to build a community garden came from within the mental health community in Stirling who recognised the positive effects of physical exercise, and particularly gardening on mental well-being. After an extensive consultation process, Stirling Council offered the group a site in King's Park. A plan was drawn up taking account of views expressed in the consultation. BTCV contracting are constructing the garden in late 2006. The garden will be planted in early spring 2007 by our volunteers and thereafter maintained and developed. MiniWeb: MiniWeb |
