Description: The Dee Community Energy Initiative has resulted form a collaboration between Nigg, Cove and Altens Community Councils and Re:Solution a sustainable development agency.

The initiative will seek to increase the number of households installing small scale renewable devices in Southern Aberdeen. This will be done by providing a Renewable Energy Procurement Pack to interested householders, and encouraging the development of a Renewable Energy Club for the area which would facilitate resdents gaining group discounts in the cost of products and services.

Description: Completed in November 2005, Craignish Village Hall is now fully operational. Use of the hall has exceeded expectations with a wide range of local organisations, including the local Primary school, in occupation both during the day and in the evening. A programme of performing arts has brought a number of concerts, gigs and plays to the community, while increasingly the hall is being booked for private parties, weddings and day conferences. Plans for a Council run Pre five unit are ongoing.
