Bridgend Farm Community Allotment Health Project

Organisation: Bridgend Farm Community Allotment Health Project
Town/City: Edinburgh
Postcode: EH8 9RS
Description: The Bridgend Farm Community Allotment Health Project is now funded for 2006, and will start on site in March 2006. The project will develop a community garden and promote gardening for health on a new organic allotment site in south Edinburgh, with people and agencies concerned with inequality. It will be environmentally and socially sustainable. People of different ages, ethnicities, and abilities will work, learn and take exercise together. Organic growing of vegetables and fruit will promote healthy and affordable local food. A group involving community health projects, the NHS and others will manage the project.
