            <description><![CDATA[A positive announcement for all those interested in cycling. Cycling Scotland has just announced that The Cycle Friendly and Sustainable  Communities Fund (CFSCF) is open to individual community-led projects, aiming to  increase the number of trips made by bicycle, with grants of up to £6,000  available.

            <title>Climate changes.....</title>

            <description><![CDATA[Keep Scotland Beautiful, has announced that the next deadline for submitting "Expression of Interest" forms to the Climate challenge fund is the 6th June 2012.  Through the Climate Challenge Fund, Communities across Scotland can apply for grants of up to £150,000 per year to help reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient. Nearly £30 million in total will be awarded to communities who come forward with innovative ideas to tackle their carbon emissions.

            <description><![CDATA[The Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) has announced the launch of a new Volunteering Development Grant.  The Volunteering Development Grant offers a small grant of up to £10,000 to charities that want to improve and develop their capacity to involve volunteers.  This grant is available to registered charities working in Scotland who do not currently involve volunteers to any significant extent, or already involve volunteers but want improve and develop their capacity to deploy and support volunteers.

            <description><![CDATA[Laurence at Senscot went to see the independent movie 'You've been trumped'. He joined a select band of 100 guests for a screening.The movie focusses on local people affected by Donald Trump's development of a pristine stretch of Scottish coastline near Aberdeen.  Laurence reckons the film is accomplished and brave - showing the value of real journalism. The film had a real effect on him and he told the good ole USA via CNN about his disappointment in our political processes.

The two day event, which takes place within the grounds of the outstanding natural beauty of Falkland Estate in Fife, will happen over the weekend of July 21 and 22 this year.
