Whilst loads of us are out there trying to find the lowest energy consuming device to dry our clothes in Scotland, your granny probably did better with the low tech solution, the pulley
. Surely this should come with an A+ rating at least.
OK then not everybody called it a pulley, but you know what I mean. Wooden clothes horse hanging from the ceiling. It was an essential piece of kit for the domestic goddess of the past. No sexist slight intended. Anyway a company based in Angus, The Domestic Paraphenalia Company

Clothes from the washing machine take two days to dry. So Ok to use it if you have the time. Good for laying woolen jerseys on as well. at least most of the jersey is flattish!
