If you feel that your deserve recognition or you know someone else who is a bit of a hero in the area of all things green and energy effcient then these awards might be of interest.
I know the world is slightly award mad and there are so many you might feel a bit confused. None-the-less the Energy Savings Trust
in association with the Guardian newspaper is punting the Green Heroes.Award nomination close on 25th September 2009. Update: nominations deadline extended to 16 October 2009.
Categories are:
Best Rural Community Project
Best Urban Community Project
Most innovative project
Most sustained activity by a community group
Outstanding contribution by an individual

Saw the title - awards - and thought - hmmmm, some money in this...can't see anything on that slick cartoony website about the reward? Not that we're looking for a reward of course, but kinda feels like Energy Saving Trust just is looking to make a quick buck riding on the back of other people's hard work?
