Applications for funding form the JESSICA Scotland Fund have to be submitted by THIS FRIDAY, 6th AUGUST. Thirteen local authority areas are currently eligible to apply for the funding set out in the ERDF Priority 3 - Urban Regeneration Programme:
The fund, a new policy initiative by European Commission, is financed by the European Investment Bank and the Scottish Government. The investment will be ‘recycled’ in order to provide continued finance to local communities according to Alex Neil, “Importantly by ensuring we recycle the cash investment, through an ‘invest now, repay us later’ model, we will support many key projects and leave a lasting legacy to fund regeneration in Scotland for many years.”
As stated above, the application deadline is THIS FRIDAY 6th AUGUST and completed applications should be returned to jessica.esep.co.uk. So, if any of the eligible local authorities given above are thinking of applying they better get a move on! A covering letter, guidance note and application form can be downloaded here:
