Not content just to be on ITV, the Big Lottery Fund has teamed up with the BBC to launch an initiative to find 6 villages throughout the UK who want to develop a new business venture.
Funding of between £100,000 and £400,000 will be provided to each successful village by the Big Lottery Fund, and the progress to developing the venture will be filmed by the BBC. Each village will need a champion to lead them, but to be sustainable this will have to engage the wider community.
Live in a village that wants to do something for itself? Know someone who can act as a Village Champion? Is it you? Have a look at the Big Lottery Fund website
for more details.
