If you wonder where all that cash goes then wonder no more. Just out in 2012 is Where The Green Grants Went 5 (WTGGW5). This report from the Environmental Funders Network records a big increase in the proportion of environmental philanthropy going to tackle climate change, averaging 21% of green spend over the three years to 2009/10 - up from less than 9% in 2005/06 to 2006/07.

If you have a great idea that takes care of plastic waste then this grant might be right up your street. It is focussed around the total waste that is the plastic bottled water industry in the UK. Remember the stuff out of the tap is just as good for you as the fancy labelled varieties for the volcanic spring of here and there.
If you are interested in you local railway, are concerned about vandalism, littering and community safety then why not work with the railway people.The Scottish Community Safety Network administer a grant fund on behalf of Network Rail. Grants of £2000 are available for projects which will result in a positive outcomes across a range of community safety areas.
Are those creative juices flowing...are you what they call young (15-22 today)...well Creative Scotland and Young Scot have this thing called the Creative Entrerpise Award which might be right up your street. It is all to help people get into the creative industries..whatever they are.
