Future Balance, the trading name of Forward Scotland ltd, is a charity that provides independent expert advice for sustainability. We work with businesses, community groups and public authorities to access, manage and distribute grant funding. But this is not all: we advise ways to spend grants, ranging from cultural change facilitation, to taxation advice to win lasting results. Wise sustainable action has business and economic benefits and improves people’s lives, as well as the saving the environment. In tough times sustainability is not a luxury but a lifeline. Future Balance moderates the Sustainable Scotland website.

Forward Scotland is the leading independent body promoting sustainable development in Scotland. It was established in 1996 and is a company limited by guarantee and recognised charity. It receives funding from a range of public and private sources to deliver its programme of work. It created and moderates sustainablescotland.com, a free source of information written by volunteers and other contributors to stimulate debate and provide information.
