People getting together to take action for the environment, whether this is to improve local greenspace or to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, is a vital element of creating more sustainable communities. Where this action is developed and led by communities or helps establish community enterprise, it also helps communities develop the
skills, knowledge and resources needed to support further action. This event will highlight examples of communityled action and examine how agencies and other support organisations can work with communities in ways that create the potential and power that enables independent action.
