In 2001 a small group in Forth asked for a small sum of money for christmas lights. Today, they are managing almost £250,000 worth of work to renovate their village greenspace.
During phase one of the park's makeover, the group installed a children's play area. Now, as well as draining the entire waterlogged park, its running track will be renewed, stadium seating sunk into one grassy bank, paths connected, and cobbles and stairs fixed to provide a safer route to through the area.
