Nesting birds added a whole new angle to Newburgh Regeneration Group's plans to turn an area of wasteland into a much-wanted park.
Last century, life in the Fife town of Newburgh revolved around its thriving linoleum factory. Its doors closed in 1978 and its buildings burned down in a fire not long after, but the land on which the factory stood has recently been resurrected as a hub for the local community - this time in the shape of a park.
