On 2 September 2009 the Scottish Government announced that Round 5 of the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) was supporting thirty seven projects across Scotland with £3.5 million to tackle climate change in their communities.
Collectively, the projects will reduce carbon emissions by over 250,000
tonnes - the equivalent of taking over 83,000 cars off the UK roads.

Energy-saving projects across Scotland are being invited to enter the EAS EnergySavers Award 2009 and celebrate their contribution to combatting climate change. Organised by fuel poverty charity Energy Action Scotland and supported for the eighth year by eaga , the Awards have a first prize of £1,500 and a second prize of £1,000.
