A new report from WWF International identifies 3.4 million European jobs that are directly related to renewable energy, sustainable transport and energy efficient goods and services.
WWF claims this compares with 2.8 million jobs in polluting industries, such
as mining, electricity, gas, cement, and iron and steel and predicts
that the low-carbon economy will continue to expand in the future,
whereas employment in the extractive and climate polluting industries
will continue to decline. The report also identifies European countries that are leaders in development of renewable energy. Follow the link to read the full report Low Carbon Jobs for Europe 1.62 Mb
