Sustainable Scotland: New Ideas for Sustainable Development in Scotland

The most unsustainable of times Print E-mail

It seems like everyday we wake up to the effects of our unsustainable behaviours.

The financial crisis/credit crunch, whatever you choose to call things is the legacy of years of irresponsible economic activity. It suggests that currently the reality of so called sustainable economic growth is a bit of an oxymoron.
But it shouldn't be...don't we need to chart a better path that sees the economy operating for the long term, taking account of its environmental impacts and social equity both locally and globally.

Should we bail out the banks...I don't know..does anyone really know. Banks seem to have little sympathy with ordinary hard working people and business when times for them are tough.

The difficult economic times we find ourselves in should be a wake up call, things need to change.
